Zaida's Cult Conference Recap
We sat down with Zaida Parra after she returned from CULT Conference — an advanced conference for aesthetic professionals — to hear what she learned, what surprised her, and how it all translates to better care for our clients.
Tell us a little bit about Cult Conference.
ZAIDA: Cult Conference is an elevated experience for injectors who are serious about their craft and continuing to grow. We spent two and a half days diving into advanced facial assessment, cadaver anatomy, ultrasound education, complication management, and complex treatments areas.
What I loved most was being surrounded by injectors who genuinely care about safety, education, and providing the best outcomes for their clients. The energy in the room was very much “good injectors never stop learning” and I loved that!
What was your favorite session? What did you take away from it?
ZAIDA: Cadaver anatomy with live ultrasound. It reinforced how individualized every face is, and was an important reminder that Botox and filler are medical procedures.
Was there anything that genuinely surprised you?
ZAIDA: There was shocking information about unmonitored peptide use. At ÉLAN, we believe in the importance of proper protocols, baseline labs, medical oversight, and a holistic approach.
What was the hot topic everyone talking about?
ZAIDA: One of the more fascinating topics was whether Sculptra can affect a future facelift. Dr. Sadaat led a very compelling, evidence-based discussion.
Current evidence suggests that when biostimulators like Sculptra are placed correctly — at the proper depth and in the appropriate facial plane — they should not negatively impact future facial plastic surgery.
What are you most excited to bring to our clients at ÉLAN?
ZAIDA: Honestly, a little bit of everything! Attending this conference reinforced the knowledge I already had, clarified concepts, and strengthened my skillset.
I’m excited to deepen my commitment to an anatomy-based approach, prioritizing safety and natural-looking outcomes above all else. I also feel more equipped to help clients navigate the misinformation that exists online.
How does continuing education shape who you are as an injector?
ZAIDA: I truly believe that if you're in this industry, you should never stop learning. Aesthetics is constantly evolving, and continuing education is how we stay sharp, current, and provide the best possible care.
I'm focused on creating a more intentional, personalized experience for every patient: slowing down during consultations, really understanding their goals, and building genuine relationships built on trust.
